It’s the heavyweight battle we’ve been waiting for. Predicting the 2021 national championship game between Baylor and Gonzaga.
Gonzaga and Baylor each enter this season’s grand finale with a head full of steam. The Zags are looking to close out college basketball’s first undefeated campaign since 1976, while Baylor has looked equally as daunting, especially in the postseason.
Folks, this is the matchup we’ve all been waiting for. No. 1 vs no. 2. Two of the nation’s top-three offenses.
A team that shoots high-percentage shots vs a team that shoots a high percentage from long range. Two of the nation’s top guards pit against one another, directly (Jalen Suggs, Davion Mitchell). Then, of course, there’s perhaps the two most-slept-upon coaches in the country.
Either way, the college basketball world is in for a real treat tonight. While Baylor carved another notch in their belt in blasting in-state foe Houston 78-59, The Bulldogs participated in one of the greatest college contests in television history, nipping 11-seed UCLA 93-90 in overtime on a buzzer-beater from Suggs. I’m like most people at this juncture – just blissfully going along for a magical ride.

Presley Meyer: Gonzaga 76 Baylor 66
