College football is back, and we could not be more excited! After two straight years of a positive ROI, it is time to run it back for year 3.
For this exercise we will start with $1000 dollars and see what we can run that number up to. Most of these articles will revolve around hunting props and trying to find value.
As normal we will be using FanDuel’s lines for these bets, but it is good practice to shop your bets on all of the sites to find the best value. LETS GO!
Week 0 Starting Balance: $1,000
Iowa State vs Kansas State
We get a banger to start week 0 with two teams in the top 25 and that have major conference expectations. Kansas State will once again be led by QB Avery Johnson who is always going to be a threat to run the ball in the redzone. Dylan Edwards will lead the running backs and Jayce Brown will be the main receiving target. KSU also loves to include their Tight Ends, especially in the redzone. Garrett Oakley is the guy I would expect to be involved as the field gets small.
Iowa State is also a team that will be led by returning QB Rocco Becht who like Johnson will always be a threat to keep the ball himself in the redzone. The RB room for ISU is going to be messy like normal, Abu Sama and Carson Hansen will both have significant roles in the offense, but Hansen is the guy who should be most active in the redzone. Chase Sowell is the main guy in the receiver room, and just like KSU TE Ben Brahmer will be involved in the redzone.
Kansas Jayhawks vs Fresno State
Kansas takes on Fresno State to start the year and the I am the most interested in the Kansas running game. QB Jalon Daniels is a freak of an athlete and RB Daniel Hishaw will get most of the work.
Fresno State is a little more complicated. I am going to take a wait and see approach for the passing game and the running game comes in with a ton of depth. The two names I would focus on would be lead back Bryson Donelson and Elijah Gilliam getting some of the goal line work.
Hawaii vs Stanford
As usual for Hawaii we will stick to the passing game and they have two studs that are going to be holding down the receiving spots this year. Both Pofele Ashlock and Nick Cenacle are elite and I expect them to get most of the volume.
I believe that Stanford is garbage and I will not be including any player from that team in any parlay all season.
The Bets:
I would bet this week only on the games that you are going to watch just so you can have something to pull for. Mixing and matching any of the names I listed above to get into the end zone is all that I will be doing this week. With the start of a new year you just never know with confidence what will happen, so bet light and have some fun.
