2026 Louisville Football Roster Tracker

Offseason is officially upon us. Bookmark this article to keep up with all the movement in the 2026 cycle for Louisville football.

If you know me, you know that tracking random stuff that can easily be found on the internet is kind of my thing. Transfer portal, recruiting rankings, box scores, weirdly enough I could just copy and paste all of those but instead I track it meticulously in a spreadsheet for no reason other than just to fill my brain with nonsensical Louisville football information. That won’t change heading into 2026 as Louisville football will look to replace a large percentage of its roster heading into the new year.

Starting January 2, 2026 players will have 15 days to declare for the portal or decide to return back to school. From there, it will be a mad scramble to fill rosters and everything in place going into spring. Remember, there is just one portal window (outside of coaching movement) which means that by the beginning to middle of February we’ll have a really good idea of who will make up the 2026 Louisville Football program.

Of course there’s been a ton of speculation that Jeff Brohm could be courted and potentially move on elsewhere. We’ll continue to monitor that closely, but assuming he is the head coach of the program next year, there is a lot of work to be done to get the 2026 squad to levels of previous teams. All eyes will be on the quarterback position as Brohm will be looking to replace Miller Moss, who struggled mightily to step into the shoes of Tyler Shough in 2025, preferably with a splashy addition in the portal.

We’ve already heard Louisville be connected to Dylan Raiola, DJ Lagway, Colton Joseph, and other high profiled transfers, which likely means the Cards won’t be turning the ball over to redshirt freshman Deuce Adams or true freshman Briggs Cherry.

There will also be some major attrition along the offensive line and defensive line. That will certainly be a priority for Brohm and company, as will replacing the pass catcher cupboard following the loss of Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy as well as starting tight end Nate Kurisky.

Some really tough choices will had to be made in the running back room. Isaac Brown, Keyjuan Brown, and Duke Watson will all likely be tempted to enter the portal with chances to secure larger payments from other schools – especially Isaac. Despite injuries, it is likely that the Georgia’s, Ohio State’s and Texas’ of the world will have the funds to lure the top backs away from Louisville. How Louisville chooses to spend its money, knowing retaining all three is very unlikely, will be a top storyline this offseason.

There are plenty of other needs across the offense and defense, both starters and reserves. That’s what makes this offseason so interesting.
