Jacob Lane & Matt McGavic of Sports Illustrated return to preview the 2022 Louisville football fall camp on episode 64 of From The Pink Seats Podcast.
The much anticipated 2022-23 football season is quickly approaching as the season opener for Louisville football is less than 40 days away. With Scott Satterfield and the Cards opening camp next week, Jacob Lane and Matt McGavic of From The Pink Seats previewed what to expect.
Louisville is desperately seeking a bounce back season following the 6-7 disappointment that was 2021. Following two years with losing records, it’s clear that there is a lot on the line for Satterfield. Thanks to a bizarre issue within the administration of the University, Satterfield was able to secure his role as head coach for another year with promises to make major changes.
That’s exactly what he did this offseason bringing in several new, high-powered coaches as well as some of the top available transfers from the transfer portal. That has Louisville in a place to take a major step this season. Camp is the first part of that journey, and for Louisville, several big storylines loom large.
In a new segment titled “Matt’s Big Question” the guys explore the most pressing question heading into camp from one Matt McGavic. Matt gives insight into what he’s looking at during his preseason analysis of Louisville. Then the guys dive into players to watch. Each provides a player who will have the most to prove, most to gain, a freshmen who could push to start, and which position battle is the most intriguing.
