Louisville basketball finally gets over the hump as a month-long losing streak comes to an end in a victory over Clemson. ACC Championship run coming soon?
The misery is finally over Louisville basketball fans- The Cardinals added one to the win column on Saturday afternoon.
After an embarrassing “Russ Smith Day” loss to Notre Dame and a sloppy road loss to Virginia, Louisville and head coach Chris Mack parted ways. Once interim head coach Mike Pegues took over, the Cards dropped close games to Duke and North Carolina. To round things out, UofL was hammered by Syracuse, dropped a nail-biter to Notre Dame again, and then fell late against Miami.
That’s seven.
In a matter of exactly one month, Louisville basketball went from tournament bubble team to coachless, trying to find its identity, and amid the longest losing streak in 80+ years.
To finally get back on the right track feels like a giant exhale for the entire Louisville fanbase and program.
