Louisville basketball coasts past Kentucky in Coaches Poll

The Cards moved ahead 6 more spots in the AP Poll as well.

Louisville basketball has won 15 of its last 16 games dating back to a December 21st win at Florida State.

After a battling serious illness across the team and staff during a well-timed week off, the Cards brought things full circle with another win over the Seminoles on Saturday.

Now, Louisville has made another leap to 17th in the Coaches Poll after receiving 241 votes in the February 24th edition.

The Cards come in at 19th in the AP Top 25 Poll, receiving 372 votes.

Of note, of course, is that Louisville basketball jumped over rivals Kentucky and Memphis in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Since it’s lone loss in 2025, Louisville basketball has reeled off a 26-point win at Boston College, a 10-point win against Miami without point guard Chucky Hepburn and center James Scott, a 25-point road victory vs NC State, a 15-point win at Notre Dame and an 8-point victory in a return home vs FSU.

Elsewhere, Louisville is holding strong at 23rd according to Ken Pomeroy’s analytics at Kenpom.com.

Louisville basketball is 24th in the newest NCAA NET Rankings, positioning the Cards firmly as a team in the top third of the NCAA Tournament seeding.
