Louisville TBT announces its newest addition in former Louisville basketball graduate transfer Fresh Kimble.
The latest addition to the Louisville TBT squad is one that should make the younger fan base happy.
Keith Oddo, head coach of Louisville TBT team Thee-Time Champs announced Tuesday that the team would be adding guard Fresh Kimble.
The former Louisville Cardinal joins the fold as the 7th announced member of the team.
As it stands, Three-Time Champs will be comprised of:
SG-Ryan McMahon
SG- Jerry Smith
PG- Chris Jones
PG- Fresh Kimble
SF- Wayne Blackshear
PF- Chane Behanan
C-Samardo Samuels
What Kimble brings to the table
Kimble joins the fold as the youngest player to date (he is six days younger than McMahon). However, Kimble should be viewed as a potential leader on this Louisville TBT squad.
Kimble, famously, was a team captain for 4 of his 5 seasons in college.
During his time at Louisville, Kimble averaged 5 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 17 starts. He was a leader on a 2019-20 Louisville basketball team primed for a postseason run before the season was halted due to COVID-19.
Though he is not likely a starter on this team, Kimble serves as a solid back up point guard and a tough-nosed playmaker.
Who’s next for Louisville TBT?
Louisville still has three free roster spots open. There are still plenty of solid names of former Cards floating around, and this team needs to add one or two more big names.
Three-Time Champs could use one more starting guard and 1-2 more big men or forwards.
Realistic names remaining that stand out are Edgar Sosa, Preston Knowles, Ray Spalding, Dwayne Sutton, and Mangok Mathiang, among others.
