Week 3 Recap

Season Starting Money: $1000

Week 3 Starting Money: $1019

Going into week three we chose to stay away from any of the spreads and we focused strictly on player props. Although I would love to ignore what happened last week, we have to revisit it to check our process.

We began by taking two players, Jordan Travis and Travis Hunter, to be anytime TD scorers. Florida State looked out of sorts from the opening kickoff and Jordan Travis only chose to run the ball four times. He did have one read option on the one that he should have kept but gave it to the Full Back to punch it in. Travis Hunter got hurt early in the game and was not a factor to score in the short time that he played.

We also targeted Jack Plummer to have a break out game and throw for over 252 yards. He proceeded to throw for over 210 yards in the first half but finished with only 238 yards. I don’t know what to do with that finish. Challenging Indiana over the top seemed like the obvious way to attack them and for some reason he just could not get it going in the second half. This was a bad beat given how it looked like an easy win at halftime.

Finally, we parlayed Singleton, Benson, and Edward together to score a TD. Benson and Singleton were able to find the endzone and Edwards came up one yard short at least twice in the Colorado game. Again, I think our process was fine, we just weren’t able to get that extra yard from Edwards.

Week 4 Starting Money: $819

West Virginia vs Texas Tech

Two weeks ago, Texas Tech lost a nailbiter to Oregon. That alone has seemed to propel the perception of the Red Raiders into the belief that they are an above average team. I personally just don’t see it. On the other side West Virginia coach Neal Brown came into the season on the hot seat and his team has answered the call so far including a win over rival Pittsburg. CJ Donaldson is a player that I love watching on Saturdays and I believe a steady run game will lead them to another victory.

Louisville vs Boston College

Last week I wanted to attack the run defense for Boston College and that has not changed. Although the change at quarterback helped make BC competitive against Florida State, I am going to bet that they emptied the tank and the playbook against them and they will have a letdown this week.

Bet: Louisville -14

Player Prop Parlay

To start our parlay, we are going to go back to the well with Audric Estime to score a touchdown. Estime has scored in every game so far and Ohio State has not seen a run game or Offensive line like Notre Dame yet this year. I believe that ND will focus on the run game early and hopefully we will get this touchdown out of the way early in the game.

For the second leg of the parlay, we are going to target the run game for TCU. Emani Bailey has been the bell cow back so far for TCU and I don’t see why that would change against a bad SMU run defense.

Bet: Estime and Bailey Anytime TD

Units Bet: 1

Odds: +128
