Louisville football adds another one to its 2021 class. This time it’s transfer Bryan Hudson.
Louisville football and Louisville sports in general are having a winning day this Saturday.
After a recruiting battle that came down to the Cardinals and Wildcats, transfer Bryan Hudson pledged to Louisville.
The Virginia Tech offensive lineman started 10 games at center in his freshman season, and played in eight games as a sophomore last year.
Hudson was ranked in the top-200 overall in the 247Sports class of 2019 rankings. He held offers from the likes of Alabama and Florida.

A native of Georgetown, Kentucky, Hudson was a massive piece of his Virginia Tech recruiting class.
“I think this year is kind of starting an unprecedented time when you start looking at the transfer portal and it’s only going to grow when you think the one-time transfer is going to go into effect in January,” Head Coach Scott Satterfield told Jody Demling of Cardinal Authority. “It’s going to change recruiting for everybody; it’s going to be interesting to see how that works out.”
Based on these comments, it appears the staff intends for Hudson to be eligible right away for the Cards.
Hudson could not be a better fit for Louisville football. He was a multi-sport athlete at Virginia Tech, participating as a shot putter for its track and field team. At 6’4,” 310-pounds, Hudson is a great athlete that possesses a burst off the line that will make him a factor at the next level.

Has the traits to develop into one of the best interior offensive linemen in college football. The foot quickness and explosiveness make him unique. Moves and runs well, tough, physical, strong kid that is also one of America’s top high school shot put and discus throwers. Flexible athlete, fluid athlete and balanced. Blocks in space and glides to the second level. Projects as a multi-year starter and high NFL Draft selection.
That sounds like a perfect match for a Dwayne Ledford offense.
Louisville desperately needed help on the interior of the offensive line, and Hudson is a home run snag.
