College Football Week 2 Betting Guide

Recapping week 1 of college football and previewing the best best of week 2.

For tracking purposes 1 unit will be equal to $100.

Week 1 Recap

Season Starting Money: $1000

Week 1 Starting Money: $1124

Leading up to the Louisville game we were able to get the Jawhar Jordan touchdown prop at -110, and despite that bet looking dead in the water late he was able to come through getting us a payout of $95.45.

To close out Friday night we parlayed a Hawaii win with the under and we lost that bet easily.

Stanford had no issues doing whatever it wanted against Hawaii’s defense. Our takeaway from this game is that maybe Vanderbilt is just worse than we thought they were going to be.

We only played one bet on Saturday because I like to see teams first before I start betting on them.

We played the Oklahoma vs. Arkansas State under, and that bet was dead roughly five minutes into the game. Before the first quarter was over, I looked like Butch Jones crying on the sideline.

Week 2 Starting Money: $1069

Ole Miss vs. Tulane

This is my favorite game of the week to target. Ole Miss is coming off a win where they dominated Mercer 73-3. Meanwhile, Tulane wore down a good South Alabama team winning 37-17.

I can see this game going one of two ways, Ole Miss running away with it early or Tulane grinding the game down and eating away at the time of possession. Because of this, I am not interested in the 7-point spread on either side. Instead, I would rather take my shot with the underdog coming through on the money line at +220. I also cannot see a world where Tulane beats Ole Miss in a shootout and because of that I will also take the under on 65.5.

I will be parlaying those two bets together for +425 odds and then promptly be turning the game off when Ole Miss goes up 28-7.

Bet: Tulane money line and under 65.5

Units Bet: .5

Odds: +425

*Saturday Morning Update* Tulane QB Michael Pratt was just moved to questionable for the game. If we do not get any clear indicator that he is starting then we will not make this play!

Colorado vs. Nebraska

There was not a bigger story in college football last week than Deion Sanders and Colorado. Their offense looked amazing, and they showed that they could score with the best teams in the country.

One of my betting rules is to bet the boring when something feels nationally fun. People want to enjoy watching what they bet on, so they bet on offense and overs.

When something was as fun as Colorado was last week, you can expect an inflated line to account for all the people who are jumping on the Colorado hype train. Even though they looked unstoppable, I am going to bet on the regression back to average and bet the under 59.5.

Bet: Under 59.5

Units Bet: .5

Odds: -110

Player Prop Parlay

Last week the Boise State defense was carved up against Michael Penix and the Huskies offense. This week their defense will take on a different challenge in the form of dual threat Quarterback John Rhys Plumlee who carried that ball 8 times for 90 yards and 1 Touchdown last week. His Anytime TD line is -110 and he will be the first play in this parlay.

The second player we will add to our parlay is Audric Estime from Notre Dame. He has looked like a dominant running back behind a dominant line so far this year. He has found the end zone in both of their games and I do not see that stopping against NC State who let UConn run all over them a week ago.

Bet: Anytime Touchdown Scorer Plumlee and Estime

Units Bet: 1

Odds: +184
