Starting Five02 Podcast: How can Louisville change the NIL game? We ask the founder of 502 Circle.

Presley and Jacob are joined on Starting Five02 Podcast by 502 Circle Founder Marc Spiegel to talk NIL, Louisville basketball, and much more.

Name, Image, and Likeness has become a hot button topic across the college sports landscape over the last year and a half. Whether it’s recruiting top high school players or from the ever-growing transfer portal, each university has had to make adjustments and grow with the times or risk being left behind. In hopes of growing University of Louisville athletics, lifelong fan and now successful entrepreneur Marc Spiegel launched 502 Circle, a new collective, to give fans and businesses a way to participate. He joined Starting Five02 Podcast to talk Name, Image, Likeness, the new collective, as well as a variety of other Louisville basketball topics. Marc talks with the guys about why he chose to launch the collective and why there’s a serious opportunity for the university. They also dive into what the collective will be about, what will set it apart from other universities, and why Marc is the right guy to run the ship.

It’s been an interesting couple of months as the smoke has died down from the hiring of alumni and long-time assistant, Kenny Payne. Almost all Louisville basketball fans rejoiced when Payne was selected by Josh Heird to be the program’s next coach, as a new era was certainly set to be ushered in. While fan engagement and alumni satisfaction are at an all-time high, serious questions about the roster for 2022-23 loom large over the program. Jacob and Presley discussed the roster, recruiting, Payne’s strategy when it comes to coaches & adding to the roster, and much more with Marc.

The guys also get into conference re-alignment and where Louisville will stand when it’s all said and done.
